Happy May!

Happy May! Spring looks like it’s finally here to stay in Michigan. After an awkward winter, an indecisive early spring, and a few April snow showers it appears the air temps are normalizing. It been fun to watch the buds sprouting on the trees and, in the past couple days, the leaves to start emerging.

Early season scouting has produced quality fish

My season has officially started and it has been fabulous so far. River scouting has proved the smallmouth are on the prowl and the pike are hungry as ever. Water temps are in the mid to high 50’s and the smallmouth are moving to swim flies, its a beautiful thing!

Swim flies are on the menu, don’t miss out on the fun!

New for this year, I am offering select trout streamer fishing trips. Early clients have found amazing success hooking into and landing quality fish. May is the perfect time to get on the raft and go hunting for brown trout.
